Title: Beauty in Spring

My Rating: 4.5 stars
Gideon Blake is a person plagued by a curse that renders him a beast, so for the sake of his best friend and first love Cora Walker he lets her father take her away from Blackwood Manor. He lives in solitude at Blackwood Manor where he and Cora had the best moments of their lives meanwhile knowing that he would never get to see the love of his life ever again. Cora Walker is on her way back to her childhood home Blackwood manor after receiving a call from the Blake family's solicitor about there being something about a repayment of debt. She just doesn't imagine what she comes face to face with. Gideon's life depends on Cora's decision, but he has to trust that she loves him enough to stay with him before the full moon.
The plot of the book was definitely creative and something I don't really see a lot of. The characters were phenomenal in that while they had some good qualities to them but also have their bad moments just like any other person. Gideon having been cursed has become aggressive almost cold, but not to the point of hurting Cora physically. Cora is strong willed while also fragile, so in a sense that makes her perfect for Gideon. They both love each other it just takes trusting the other person to find happiness despite the obstacles faced at any time. Suffice it to say that I liked this book a lot and would recommend it to everyone.
